Seasonal calendar

Twelve months of your calendar, reviewed in one sitting

Season, school holiday, public holiday and regional-event rows, already seeded for every account and sitting one click away when there's more to add. Pick a vehicle, scan the next twelve months, tick what you want. Nothing already on your pricing list is ever touched.

Why it matters

A top-up tool, not another setup wizard

Seeded from day one

New Zealand public holidays, school terms and a starter season shape are already on your pricing list when your account is created. This screen is for keeping it current, not building it.

Priced, not just percentages

Every row shows what it actually does to a real vehicle's daily rate, before you add it, not after a booking comes in at the wrong price.

Honest about gaps

School holiday dates are published on the Ministry of Education's own schedule. When this year's window runs past that, the calendar says so instead of guessing.

Additive, always

Saving only creates the rows you've ticked that don't already exist. A rule you've customised or switched off is never silently edited or deleted.

Live

Review your seasonal calendar

This is the same screen you'll use at /admin/pricing-modifiers, working with an illustrative fleet and calendar so you can try it right now. Dates recompute from today, so it's always showing the next twelve months.

Overlapping rows
Automatic demand pricing is on for this account. It scales the rate before these seasonal rows apply, so the two layers compound. A season row shown as "+15%" adds 15% on top of whatever demand pricing has already done to that day, not 15% of the plain base rate.

Questions

What operators ask

Does this change bookings that are already made?

No. A booking already made keeps the price it was quoted. Reviewing or adding to your seasonal calendar only changes what a future quote looks like.

Will it overwrite or delete a pricing rule I already have?

No. Saving only creates the rows you tick that do not already exist. A row that is already on your pricing list, including one you have switched off or customised, is never edited or deleted from this screen.

What happens when a school holiday has not been published yet?

New Zealand school holiday dates are published on the Ministry of Education's own schedule, which only runs so far ahead. If the next 12 months runs past what is published, the screen says so directly and leaves the gap empty rather than guessing a date. It fills in once the Ministry publishes it.

Do I have to build my calendar from scratch?

No. Your default seasonal calendar (New Zealand public holidays, school terms and a starter season shape) is already seeded when your account is created. This screen is for reviewing it and topping it up, not setting it up.

Does it work alongside automatic demand pricing?

Yes, and it tells you so. If automatic demand pricing is on for your account, the screen shows a note that the two layers compound: demand pricing scales the rate first, and a seasonal row applies on top of that.

What happens to a row once I add it?

It becomes a normal pricing-modifier row, exactly like one you created by hand. Switch it off, change its rate, or scope it to a location or vehicle group from Revenue → Demand pricing whenever you like.
